You can even check out DeskAway (<a href="http://www.deskaway.com" rel="nofollow">www.deskaway.com</a>) - a free to $100 pm tool for small businesses. Its simple to use with a clean interface and powerful functionality. No technical skills required.
Cheers!

Cheers Jeff, it's always good to know what other people are using. It does seem that there is still a bit to do to get the 'perfect' tool, the free trials are a god send though...

I also had a big list, when I was picking a tool for our projects. I didn't choose Basecamp (you probably know the reasons). After months of evaluations I chose Wrike - http://www.wrike.com. It was a hard choice, they still need a lot to improve, but they do develop very quickly. Besides they have several features that I've not found in any other tools. Stuff like e-mail integration and drag-n-drop gantts. My overall impression is positive, my team has the same opinion.
